Vom Tag 1 des Schüleraustauschs mit Albaida in Spanien im Rahmen des Erasmus-Projektes berichtet Victoria B. (10c) /
From day 1 of the Erasmus-exchange to Albaida, Spain, reports Victoria B. (10c):
DAY 1
Our exchange adventure to Albaida, Spain started on Monday morning at Frankfurt Airport. We, 13 students from grades 10 and 11 and two teachers, met at 7 am and said goodbye to our parents. After we checked in our luggage and went through the security check, we finally boarded our plane. Unfortunately, we had a delay for 30 minutes and then our flight took off with a great view of Frankfurt. We landed in Valencia at noon where the airport staff was on strike. Luckily, we got our suitcases after waiting for 60 minutes. We were welcomed by two Spanish teachers and took the bus to Albaida. After a 1 hour drive through the Spanish countryside we finally arrived at IES Josep Segrelles Highschool.
We greeted our exchange students and went home to have lunch with our host families. Then, we had a “siesta“. In Spain they sleep for a short time after lunch to digest. At 6 pm we met at a bakery in Albaida with all the exchange students to eat typical pastries of Spain. Afterwards, we went back home and had dinner at 10 pm which is normal in Spain. At the end of the day we fell asleep very tired, but excited for the next days.
